TAPES THAT EXPLORE

There has been a great deal of theoretical and speculative writing about experimental music or music of the future--often putting it off to the sixth Tuesday in Octembruary 3699. I'm not going to do that to you! I don't have to. My tapes that use new instruments or new scales or BOTH are here NOW. The individual compositions are in various styles and lengths, and may be combined to your order and copied onto reel-to-reel or cassette as you prefer.

Quite some years ago I already took care of conventional instruments like the piano and the customary idioms such as classical or romantic. Sheet music is still available, and I occasionally give recitals. I have not burnt my bridges behind me.

A very promising further step is to have compositions done on a computer or computer-controlled synthesizer; and I have already begun collaborating with others to accomplish this. One of my organ preludes is available in that form, permitting the use of just intonation with many pitches per octave. Besides that I have been overdubbing in different tuning-systems so that I need not wait for anybody else to master those scales. Here are some titles of available compositions:
