    1. The basic reference pitch in a just-intonation tuning system. All other notes are tuned to a frequency which is a rational proportion in comparison with 1/1. As a ratio, the numbers simply designate the comparison of any quantity with itself.

    2. The name of the journal published by the Just Intonation Network.
