natural


    One of the five standard accidentals used in Western musical notation, it has the meaning of canceling the effect of a previous use of one of the other four (sharp, flat, double-sharp, double-flat). The naturals refer to the notes which are designated by the unadorned letter-names A, B, C, D, E, F, G.
