Schlesinger harmoniai

    (Greek; plural: "harmoniai")

Speculated by Kathleen Schlesinger in The Greek Aulos (1939), according to her these are the basic scales of the ancient Greek wind instruments. Each harmonia is a segment of a different subharmonic series.

Her work has subsequently been discredited, but her theories remain provocative and provide resources for future exploration.

[from John Chalmers, Divisions of the Tetrachord]
