I am now able to provide some more information regarding Tonalsoft's product line and some of the release dates. Tonalsoft will be releasing its core microtonal music and just intonation music software application during the Summer of 2005. The core product's name is Tonescape Studio 2005. It is a music composition software application that's designed to flexibly work with numerous musical scales (tunings) and music notations. As you know, Tonescape is now in the Alpha test process. More specific product-release information will be announced right here in this blog.
Tonescape Studio 2005 is the first in a family of music composition software products for microtonal and just intonation music. Tonescape Studio is classified as a music composition software product. You can compose, capture the output from MIDI controllers, and replay your microtonal music pieces with Tonescape Studio.
The next generation of Tonescape will include a music notation software edition as well. That product version is called Tonescape Pro and will be completely backward compatible with Music Studio. Tonescape Pro will enable you to create print-quality musical scores using the notation of choice.
The Tonescape product line is based on Microsoft .Net technology. For the Summer 2005 release, Tonescape Studio will be available on Windows 98, 2000 and XP. The installation program will also ensure that Microsoft .Net 1.1 and DirectX 9.0c are up to date. Other requirements are listed below:
