minor 2nd, minor second, m2, bII


    An interval in the range of approximately 100 cents (¢). This interval is often called the diatonic semitone, because it always involves a change of letter-name (as opposed to the chromatic semitone, which does not).

    There are a wide variety of different intervals that have been employed as minor 2nds.
