An acronym which stands for both "Tenney-optimal" and "tempered octaves, please", describing additions (devised by Paul Erlich and other tuning-theorists in 2004) to the standard families of temperaments, in which the interval which acts formally as the equivalence-interval is also tempered (which is not the case in older temperaments).
